Classes & Field Trips
ClassesSessions are $50/student for four (4) classes. Sign up for all three sessions at once and receive a 20% discount! make ups for mised classes are allowed provided the make up occurs during the same session week. Classes are offered on Mondays 3:45pm - 5:00pm, and Wednesdays 3:45pm - 5:00pm.All class supplies are provided. To register, please complete the form below no less than one week before the session begins and return it with a non-refundable deposit of $25 to Tummy Yummy Creations, 405 Natchitoches street in West Monroe. Session 1: Holiday Cookie Art & Food FunCookie art basics from rolling and cutting sugar cookies to working with royal icing to create uniquely fun Mardi Gras & Valentine's Day cookies and treats. Each child will make sugar cookie art and other fun snacks to take home and share each week.January 11 - February 3rd (4 weeks) Session 2: Cookies, Cookies, & More CookiesLearn the basics of cookie baking. Includes tips for following recipes, mixing ingredients, checking fore doneness, as well as dressing up old favorites. Each child will make one dozen cookies to take home and share each week.February 15th - March 10th (4 weeks) Session 3: making & Packing Edible GiftsLearn to make holiday favorite cookies and candies. includes tips for packaging edible treats for Easter and Teacher's Appreciation. Each child will make and package holiday themed treats to take home and share each week.March 22nd - April 14th (4 weeks) WorkshopsCookie Decorating 101Learn the basics of cookie art. Includes tips for rolling and cutting cookie cshapes as well as decorating techniques. Each child will make one dozen cookies to take home and share.For ages 5 to 15 / June 16, 2010 / 1pm - 4pm / $25 Christmas in JulyWe just can't wait until Christmas comes again! Miniature gingerbread houses are just the thing to tide us over until the holiday season.For ages 7 to 15 / July 14, 2010 / 1pm - 4pm / $25 Kitchen ScienceMom may say not to play with your food, but at Tummy Yummy you can get your hands dirty and make edible works of art!For ages 5 to 12 / August 4, 2010 / 1pm - 4pm / $25 Cookie Happy Hour!Field TripsField Trips are $5 per student with a minimum of 10 students. Field trips last approximately one hour. Children are invited to stay and play with our fun food in our playroom for 1/2 hour. Lunch options are available should you desire to stay for lunch as well.Cookie DecoratingCome in for a tour of the bakery and cookie decorating! Your cookies will be boxed up to take home and show Mom in a special clear package! A special little treat is provided if you just can't wait for later!Silly SnacksMom may say not to play with your food, but at Tummy Yummy you can get your hands dirty and make edible works of art! We use common items and constuct not so common snacks while also learning about healthy snack choices.Pizza PicassoCome in for a tour of the bakery and pizza making! Your pizza will be cooked to eat here in the bakery! Spread your sauce and add your own toppings!
