Frequently Asked QuestionsDo you have decorated cookies in stock or do I need to place an order?Because of the variety of cookies styles that we produce, we do NOT keep an "inventory" of hand decorated cookies. We pride ourselves on the freshness of our products and do not start baking your cookies until they are ordered. We do, however, bake many vaieties of cookies and brownies everyday! If you need something today just give us a call (318.398.1954) and we can let you know what is in the oven!!How far in advance do I need to place my order?We ask for a minimum of 24 hours to process each order. If you call us before noon today your cookies can be ready no sooner than noon tomorrow. For orders of 10 dozen or more we ask for a minimum of 5 business days. During high peak seasonal times it may be necessary to place your order as much as two weeks in advance because we often sell out!Do you deliver or ship your cookies?Yes! We deliver in and around the Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana area and ship all over the continental United States by means of UPS. Because of the heat sensitivity of our products, during the summer months we ship Monday through Thursdays one or two day delivery only. Shipping and/or delivery prices are NOT included in the cost of our cookies.Will I receive a box full of crumbs?No way! While there is always a possibility of cookies being broken during transit we package our cookies in such a way that breakage is not usually an issue. In the event that you do receive broken cookies it is our guarantee to replace them as soon as possible at no charge to you!What is the shelf life of your cookies? Do they contain preservatives?Our cookies are made from all natural ingredients and contain NO preservatives. With that said, the shelf life is still pretty long. Our cookies reach their peak of flavor at about a week and tend to dry out after that. The cookies still taste GREAT after a month, but what happens is that they tend to have more of a crumbly texture.If I can't eat them within a week, can they be frozen?YES! YES! YES! They can be frozen for as long as 6 months! you won't believe how good they maintain their fresh taste when thawed. Be careful to freeze them in a cardboard box to protect them from ice crystals.How big are your cookies?I could tell you they are approximately 4 inches across or weigh about 1 ounce each and you might still not be sure how big they are. We like to give size based or normal visuals. Typically, our cookies are about as big as the palm of your hand. (There wasn't that easier?--no ruler necessary.)Do you make cookies bigger or smaller than palm size?We do make cookies 5 to 6 inches which is about the size of your hand; however, we do not make them smaller. Due to the level of detail on most of our cookies it is difficult to scale them down and still maintain the same decorated quality.How do the cookies come packaged?Each cookie is individually wrapped for freshness and ease of handling. We use a piece of jute twine or a sticker to close each bag. Should you desire to upgrade the package ties several different types of ribbon are available for a minimal cost. For example we often use Tulle to dress up our wedding cookies at a cost of $2 per dozen. The cookies are then packaged in a corrugated box to keep them safe.Do you make gift baskets?Yes. We have several different types of containers from wicker baskets to metal buckets and wooden trays that can be used to create your gift. We accent with colorful candies and shred then wrap the entire package in clear cellophane. Each package is tied closed with a colorful curl ribbon bow and includes a Tummy Yummy tag just the right size to deliver your message.What else can be included in your gift baskets?We offer a wide selection of drop style traditional cookie flavors such as Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Chewy Oatmeal as well as hand made chocolates. Kickin' Crackers, Bob's BBQ Sauce, Sweet & Spicy Pickles, and Gund stuffed animals are just a sampling of the fun things that can be added to any gift package.
